Children’s Elite Rugby has the intention to start playing in 2025 with at least six teams and a earn commitment from its players. The U.S.-based group hopes to capitalize on the speed that women’s sports have experienced recently.
WER president Jessica Hammond- Graf toured some of the league’s fiscal details and plans during a media briefing on Wednesday. The single-entity master group is in the midst of raising investment capital to support the organization, despite the location announcements that have yet to be made. WER players ‘ full payment amounts have not been disclosed.
” We want to develop the profit landscape and give those elite sports opportunities to really enjoy domestically while being compensated,” Hammond-Graf said.” U.S. elite players are traveling abroad to thrive.

WER claims to be in the pre-stage cash phase, but it has n’t disclosed how much money it intends to increase or where the money has come from. The team intends to capitalize on growing interest in the sport ahead of the 2031 people’s and 2033 female’s Rugby World Cups, both of which are scheduled to take place in the United States.
WER evil president Katherine Aversano stated that” these are large events that bring the limelight, but they also bring economic support from foreign corporations and World Rugby.”
Globally, New Zealand has dominated the game, winning six of the last seven earth plates. However a record 58, 498 viewers watched England’s meet with France during last year’s Women’s Six Nations Championship, the most visitors at a female’s rugby match.
WER reported that 2.7 million people play the sport at world championships.
The Women’s Premier League, a player-run firm in partnership with USA Rugby, which has seven leagues stretching from Boston to California, made its debut 15 years ago with the announcement of the WER news. WPL gamers, however, are also expected to pay for their own vacation and dues.
” For 15 years, women’s sports players in the Women’s Premier League have played in an amateur, give- to- play, mix- country league, and the consensus is this model is no longer sustainable”, Hammond- Graf said in a statement. The WER’s goal is to set the benchmark for rugby in the United States.
