The UFL wants to expand its reach.

The United Football League ( UFL ) announced that it has begun its first expansion campaign and is accepting suggestions from local markets looking to offer their communities spring-proven professional football.
The group, founded by Dwayne” The Rock” Johnson, Dany Garcia, RedBird Capital Partners and Fox, began sing in 2024 after merging the latest versions of two different flower leagues—the USFL ( United States Football League ) and the XFL.
” These rise efforts validate our perception and early achievements, demonstrating how spring football speaks with supporters and reinforcing our commitment to broadening its reach”, Russ Brandon, the team’s president and CEO, said in a statement. ” With the power and composition of our ownership group, along with our media partners, we are well-positioned for the long haul and look forward to identifying areas that have the potential, and want, to sponsor a UFL team”.
The manufacturers of the previous teams live on as the two UFL events, with the Birmingham Stallions, Michigan Panthers, Houston Roughnecks and Memphis Showboats forming the USFL Conference and the Arlington Renegades, San Antonio Brahmas, St. Louis Battlehawks and D. C. Soldiers as part of the XFL Conference. The Battlehawks, in particular, have built a solid following in their capital in both the XFL and now the UFL.
The second year of the league begins on March 28 with a 10-week standard year followed by the conference championship square and the UFL final game in June 2025. Birmingham won the team’s first final next spring.
