Two million Optimum TV clients have already received software restored from the U.S. division of French telecoms giant Altice.

After several stations went black last month, Nexstar has reached a vehicle contract with Altice USA, Deadline reports.
Although the terms of the partnership contract were not disclosed, software has already been restored to the two million Optimum TV subscribers, which are owned by the U.S. division of French telecommunication giant Altice.
Due to a vehicle dispute, 63 regional stations of Nexstar Media Group and the cable system NewsNation went offline next week.
In response to the growth in its wifi and mobile operations, Altice has had to deal with cord-cutting and has voiced a view that the video industry is less important than it has previously been. The parent company Altice is owned by Western tycoon Patrick Drahi, but some of his most important investments are being burdened by substantial debt and declining valuations.

The NFL playoffs and college football games were playing at a high volume during the deadlock. The CW, which is owned by Nexstar, also has the highest number of members under its roof, and has consistently produced strong viewership figures for nighttime shows like WWE NXT and All-American.
WPIX, the premier CW place, is a major part of the Optimum debate given the pay-TV game’s big concentration in the New York Tri-State region. In all, 42 areas are affected by the struggle. Along with New York, areas with at least 10 % penetration by the local Nexstar advertising on Optimum include Greenville, NC, Lubbock, TX, Alexandria, LA, Hartford, CT, Clarksburg, WV, according to a man familiar with the system image.
Although the total number of subscribers is relatively small, key areas like L.A. and Las Vegas also have Nexstar members.
