Michael Johnson’s fresh trail division is getting an endorsement from one of the club’s best.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has agreed to be the first racer in the world-wide multi-event league Grand Slam Track ( GST ), which officially launched on Tuesday. The two-time Olympic champion may also act as a brand ambassador as part of her deal and help promote the fan-focused league.
The rest of the annual course has yet to be announced, but McLaughlin- Levrone is no fear a star. The current Olympic gold medalist enters GST as the world record holder for the 400-meter impediments entering the Paris Summer Olympic Games. Her participation in GST, which will host its second event in April, reflects the league’s desire to secure the club’s most gifted athletes and captivate the next generation of fans.

Selected by the GST racing committee, another 48 athletes ( GST Challengers ) will be paid to compete in individual slams.
