It’s the third-most money actually paid for a home-run game at auction, but dwindles to what Shohei Ohtani’s 50th odysseus brought in earlier this year.

Freddie Freeman’s walk-off royal smash has cashed in.
The game Freeman sent over Dodger Stadium’s right-field roof to get Game 1 of the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series, which sold for$ 1.56 million at auction.
According to California-based SCP Auctions, which handled the sale, there were 22 requests for the product, which actually went up for bid on Dec. 4 and closed Saturday evening.
In visual style, Freeman’s odysseus came to rest at the foot of Zachary Ruderman, a long-haired, braces-wearing 10-year-old, whose families had surprised him with tickets to the activity under the illusion that they were taking him to a dental appointment. Ruderman’s parents, Nico, a native politician in Venice, Calif., eventually secured the game after his brother kicked it over to him.

With the price, Freeman’s gapper is now the third-highest-grossing home-run game to be auctioned. In 2022, Aaron Judge’s 62nd homer ball was sold for$ 1.5 million, after its owner reportedly first turned down a$ 3 million offer.
Prior to now, David Kohler, the founder/president of SCP Auctions, had predicted that the Freeman basketball would bring in seven figures. However, its selling price finally paled in comparison to another Dodger, Shohei Ohtani’s, 50th iliad, which was sold at auction for$ 4.4 million in October.
Unlike with Ohtani ‘s–and a number of other pieces baseball memorabilia–the Rudermans came away with their prized possession without litigation. In the end, Goldin Auctions sold Ohtani’s game in response to two lawsuits filed by different plaintiffs, each claiming to be the ball’s legitimate user.
SCP Auctions is handling the bidding for Lou Gehrig’s game-worn jersey from the 1937 World Series. Bidding for the shirt, which reportedly had previously gotten a$ 1.4 million give earlier in the week, was even due to similar Saturday, although SCP’s site did not reflect a champion as of Sunday night.
