Steve Cohen is looking for stars for his New York Mets membership this winter, but Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s fresh golf league, TGL, has already attracted a few well-known investors for his brand.
Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Jimmy Fallon, John McEnroe, Michael Strahan and CC Sabathia invested in New York Golf Club, according to Cohen’s home company, Cohen Private Ventures. Through his home office, Cohen obtained the fifth of six TGL companies in September 2023.

TGL was scheduled to launch in 2024, but it was postponed a year after the custom venue’s roof collapsed due to a power failure. The TGL sleeves off Jan. 7. Cohen’s group will be represented by Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Cameron Young.
Four golf will each play on a 3, 000-square-foot golf simulator until they are 50 feet from the opening, and the action may be transferred to a customisable short game area that changes between holes.
