Controversy surrounding Jake Paul’s win over Mike Tyson on Nov. 15 is n’t going away, and Paul’s promotional company is hoping to set the record straight on the fight ‘s—and the fighter ‘s—legitimacy.
Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s business partner and fight producer, claimed in a telephone discussion that the fighters ‘ camp was “looking at critics” and was “making up derogatory lies” including Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone.
Most Important Offers, which Paul founded in 2021, responded to online rumors that the primary function had been rigged by Paul and Tyson, claiming that Netflix would not have approved of streaming the struggle if it had been illegal. Despite Netflix’s lag problems, the main function was streamed by 60 million families around the world, peaking at 65 million parallel international channels.

The declaration read,” Rigging a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the United States of America.” The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations ( TDLR ) sanctioned the professional match Paul vs. Tyson. Each athlete had the ability to win the match with the whole of his arsenal. Any conflicting declaration would be against TDLR boxer regulations.
The speech went further to handle criticism of the 27-year-old Paul, whose fighting career began against other website celebrities.
The co-founder of the MVP, Bidarian, told Sportico that the athlete has faced similar allegations since his next professional struggle against Nate Robinson on a November 2020 cards, and has frequently addressed the criticism on social advertising. The producer had to support itself, which was an unusual move in the fighting industry, given the volume of criticism about the Tyson battle and the superstars and public figures who chimed in.
” We’ve never taken legal actions, because we just view the world that we live in to be one of, you know, regular, absurd, popular, click-based remarks by people”, Bidarian said. We saw an avalanche of celebrities, famous athletes, and famous people in sports come over and fabricate disparaging lies about what this was after we broke so many information. Simply put, we thought setting the record flat was necessary.
In a comment on a mash-up image of a younger Tyson punching Stallone as his renowned Rocky Balboa figure, Stallone said of Tyson,” I have known this amazing athlete since he’s 19 years older and what we saw was him giving one of the greatest Oscar-winning performances of all time”! Choose, Jake, be delighted, HE SPARED YOUR LIFE! Trust me …”.

Paul responded online by saying,” Often looked up to you as a child, but now you spread lies against my title.” Sad to observe you drop. Maybe it’s all the plastic surgery”.
Stallone did not respond to his ability agency’s request for comment right away.
Jake Paul started boxing in 2018 as part of his brother Logan’s bloggers ‘ fight cards. That passport was billed as” the biggest online event in history” and apparently got 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. Jake continued to field while Logan only lost three matches to Floyd Mayweather Jr. before switching to WWE.
Of Jake Paul’s 12 professional fights, only five of his competitors are or were classic boxers, including Tommy Fury, the half-brother of former heavyweight titlist Tyson Fury, who defeated Paul via cut selection in February 2023. In addition to Robinson, Paul boxed against athletes better known from mixed marital arts: Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley ( twice ), Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.
Boxing is frequently criticized for making claims that it has been “rigged” or “fixed,” and promoters typically refrain from making public remarks about these claims. The slings and arrows are pointeder for Bidarian and MVP because of Paul’s prior success as a YouTube celebrity and how quickly he has established himself in the sport.
Bidarian described Paul as having “his biggest personal accomplishment in the ring on many fronts.” ” This is a young man who made$ 12 million at the age of 18, living in L. A. by himself, and until he was 22 he lived a fairly volatile, multi-millionaire teenager lifestyle. It does n’t matter what background he has if you evaluate him for the last four years of his life, both for what he’s done and what he’s accomplished while inside and outside the ring.
” I could n’t be more proud to be his partner, and more proud to be his advisor. And that involved taking a position, not to mention being a creature of YouTube.
