Although the Netflix Jake Paul/Mike Tyson fight may have been a technological disaster, the streaming system and fight promoters claim that the event was financially successful and had a high viewership.
Nearly a day after the biggest boxing event outside of Las Vegas in U. S. history, Most Valuable Promotions ( Paul’s promotional outfit ) announced that 60 million households around the world watched the YouTuber-turned-pugilist win a unanimous decision over the 58-year-old Tyson, the former two-time heavyweight champion of the world. The match reached its peak with 65 million simultaneous international channels, according to MVP and Netflix, though it was not immediately known when the fight broke out.
Based on Netflix over files, viewership figures are presented. In the upcoming weeks, Paul-Tyson’s complete totals will be available.

Nearly 50 million people tuned in to the co-main event, according to MVP and Netflix, where Katie Taylor edged past Amanda Serrano to win the light title in the most anticipated championship in women’s fighting history.
Taylor and Serrano’s first match took place in December 2022 at a sold-out Madison Square Garden, the second women’s struggle to be a major event in a combat cards at the renowned New York arena. 1.5 million people watched the match on DAZN, a sports streaming service that simply features fight sports in the United States despite having a wider international reach, making it the most watched in women’s boxing history at the time.
If something, the Paul/Tyson passport was more defined by technical glitches than in-ring activity. Netflix established itself as a seemingly endless on-demand online library rather than as a live radio multiplex. With the Love Is Blind reunion episode from 2023, Paul/Tyson debuted as the athletics edition of Netflix’s previous blunders.
Despite popular anger from readers, Netflix provided no opinion about the glitches.
The wall records for the occasion, which took place at AT&amp, T Stadium in Arlington, Texas., totaled$ 18 million, doubling the previous history for battle activities at the facility. The biggest wall for a boxer card ever, according to MVP, was outside of Las Vegas. The event, which had been scheduled for July 20 but was postponed because Tyson had a stomach ulcer while education, attracted more than 72, 000 followers.
