The Carolina Panthers topped the New York Giants 20-17 in time now at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The NFC game concluded this week’s five-game International Series, which included activities in São Paulo, Brazil, and London, England, which has become a go-to place since the system launched in 2007.
More of the same is coming for these games outside U. S. territories. The most games the group has seen in a season, according to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who stated on Sunday that the league is looking forward to eight global games. Goodell said the club expects to return to Germany, Brazil and Mexico City, where clubs have n’t played since 2022, with a possible halt in Dublin, Ireland. ” If that totals eight, then that’s what we’re shooting for”, he said on NFL Network. ” We’re looking forward to next year”.

Following last year’s NFL owners ‘ approval, the NFL increased its annual schedule from four to eight. As the club works to expand the game internationally, it is now looking to make use of that freedom. After hosting a regular season game in South America for the first time earlier this year ( a season-opening win over the Green Bay Packers in So Paulo ), the NFL adds new nations and locations to its international roster.
Second season’s opening activity will be held in Madrid, Spain, on October 4. The participating clubs have n’t been announced, but it will take place at Real Madrid C. F.’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The shift to Madrid’s capital city in 2025 highlights the team’s rapid expansion in the wake of its fifth-place participation in the International sequence.
The team’s Global Markets Program, which launched in 2022, is expanding along with the line ‘ development. The system, which allows groups to join fans and market, has 25 teams participating in 19 global markets. The more visiting NFL team are positioned to establish themselves in the nations where they are establishing their brands the more games are played abroad.
For instance, ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently reported the Pittsburgh Steelers are perfect candidates to sponsor the team’s first match in Dublin. Strong ties exist between the Rooney family and the Republic of Ireland, which was the team’s original owner since 1933. The Steelers, along with the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars, have branding right in Ireland.
