Any employee found guilty of signaling or directing a person to fake an injury may be subject to the same penalties, including financial fines and a suspension. A player who falsifies an injuries may also face common reprimand.
The SEC has to review each play in which a false injury may have occurred. Steve Shaw, the regional representative of sport officiating, will decide what constitutes a false injury. In accordance with Sankey’s memo, those guidelines may include: whether a gamer attempted to fake an injury, whether it is more likely than not that a professed injury has occurred, or any other public statement from Shaw establishing the likelihood of a experienced injury.
