Jaylen Brown is no longer a free adviser for sneakers. He is a member of his own crew, creating his own separate brand.
The Boston Celtics star is placing pre-orders for his innovative personal foot, Rover, which did “fuse advanced technologies and simple style” and will be available through his novel performance brand and sneaker company 741. The reigning NBA Finals MVP is the most recent legend baller to launch their own shoe line as part of an ongoing movement for performer empowerment that spans fashion, tradition, media, and business.
Brown, known for being intellectual and inquisitive, says he turned down more than$ 50 million from major shoe companies to found 741, where he will have full ownership and creative control. The previous University of California person had previously been spotted without any justification wearing the Rover shoes throughout the summer.

Brown had been a glove free agent for the past couple of seasons, so Brown had to have his first sports shoe actually released on October 22. His contract with Adidas expired in 2021. He wore pairs of Kobe’s ( Nike ) and Adidas since then, but opted to cover up shoe logos. His most subsequent criticism of business apparel companies includes Nike, which he has publicly attacked on social media and criticized for handling the Kyrie Irving hatred discussion in 2022.
Brown, a member of the executive council of the NBA player union, went so far as to say that Nike was involved in his demise from Team USA Basketball. Derrick White and Jayson Tatum, who recently released his most recent signature shoe with Nike’s Jordan Brand ( Jordan Tatum 3 ), helped the star-studded group win gold in Paris. Brown previously stated this week that he has used the bash as energy.
Brown told Complex that the late Kobe Bryant, who had a vision for starting his own separate foot business before his passing in 2020, gave him inspiration. Stephon Marbury and Shaquille O’Neal are just two of the NBA players who have established their own foot companies, along with the Atlanta native. One of the others who have partnered with existing boot manufacturers to build their own name brands is Irving and Milwaukee Bucks ahead Taurean Prince.
Brown’s fresh Rover shoes and other items are unsure if they will be produced in China, which has produced names for American sports over the past ten years. Li-Ning, for instance, has partnered with a series of current and former NBA celebrities including Dwayne Wade, Baron Davis and Jimmy Butler.
After helping the Celtics to win their second title since 2008, Brown has had a busy summers. He founded the Boston XChange, an initiative to close the gender gap and support underserved businesses. He also entered the studio with hip-hop artist Ferg to record a song called” Just Do It,” which is Nike’s trademark slogan.
