Before they hit the area, the Ragin’ Cajuns are getting the fight started.

Low ale and obscene comments are the two things that scream college football.
The Tulane Green Wave claimed to offer the cheapest liquor in college basketball in a photo posted on social media on Thursday to promote their season tickets for the future college football season. While the article received more than expected burning tweets, one phrase post stood out from the crowd, a tweet from their Month 4 rival, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, who claimed their school actually sells the cheapest ale in college football.
Of course, grads over a certain period may be surprised to learn that neither school is encouraging alcohol sales at all during games. Since the majority of college students were under the legal drinking age, the NCAA has tight regulations governing the consumption of alcohol in sports stadiums for decades. However, those guidelines have since been relaxed, with a recent Associated Press study revealing that 55 of the 69 Power Five schools ( 80 % ) serve alcohol in the public areas of athletic venues.

( One of those Power Five schools, Pittsburgh, tried to one- up both Tulane and Louisiana, while BYU cleverly went the chocolate milk route, instead. )
Drinking profits are another source of income for these courses. The University of North Carolina had been selling liquor for its sporting activities since the 2019-20 time, according to an ESPN report from November 2023, and the school made$ 4 million in revenue.

The two institutions appear to have forged a new course of action after that game, and they are tasked with deciding which beverage is the most affordable.
