John Dahl, an ESPN senior who helped make the much-anticipated Michael Jordan narrative The Last Dance, is gearing up for NASCAR, where he will guide new efforts to connect with viewers through articles, according to a Variety report.
Dahl may begin his new position as content’s senior vice president on May 1. Dahl is tasked with overseeing operate at NASCAR Studios and NASCAR Digital Media, including programing, creation and activities. He will take over all aspects of the auto-racing heart’s online operations and mobile apps, including documentaries and branded articles to social media.
Dahl did report to Tim Clark, senior vice president and general online officer of NASCAR, and did divided his time between New York City and NASCAR’s works facility in Concord, N. C.

In an effort to create content and partnerships to create and distribute it, the rushing league recently signed with CAA for depiction.
Dahl had a long history with ESPN, which fired a number of top staffers last year as part of a cost-cutting plan mandated by commercial parent Disney. In addition to producing unique content, Dahl previously held the positions of vice chairman and executive producer. During his time at ESPN, Dahl led picture and video projects that included the NBA’s 75th celebration, the 150th anniversary of College Football, the SEC Storied company, ESPN’s Fifty/50 program commemorating the 50th anniversary of Title IX, and people. He was one of the classic 30 for 30 video series executive producers on ESPN.
