The NFL may open new territory with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

In the first NFL regular-season game to be played in South America, the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles did square off against one another. On September 6, the Week 1 match will take place at Corinthians Arena in So Paulo, Brazil, and it will level the first NFL season for two teams to start outside of the country.
In its most recent effort to expand” the shield’s” international footprint, the league announced in December at the owners ‘ meeting that it had given So Paulo the win over Madrid and a number of other locations. ( Madrid will have its match in 2025.) The NFL International Series, which started out as an annual event in London in 2007 and has since expanded to encompass events in Mexico and Germany, will host its 45th activity.

We’re looking forward to playing in front of our devoted Brazilian fans and assisting in expanding the NFL and Packers ‘ worldwide following. We had a fantastic first international practice a few years ago, and we’re pleased to be a part of the league’s continued expansion abroad.
The 10-year-old Romans Arena has previously starred in the 2014 female’s World Cup’s beginning game when it hosted the event. It has just over 47, 000 lasting votes but has expanded to more than 68, 000 in the past. ( Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field held more than 70, 000 on both nights of WWE’s WrestleMania 40 this past weekend. ) The Eagles will be the designated house staff.
Peacock, the Comcast- owned channel, has special broadcast rights for the game, but it will be shown for completely on the over- the- air broadcast stations in the team’s regional markets.
São Paulo Turismo S. A. ( SPTuris ), the city’s tourism and events department, said it anticipates that the game will bring 5, 000 direct and indirect jobs to the city—from tourism and hospitality to infrastructure and security. Additionally, the team projects that the activity will have an economic impact of about$ 60 million.
The NFL said that Brazil has the team’s second- largest global fan foundation with 38 million fans, trailing just Mexico. Ironically enough, the Miami Dolphins, and not the Eagles or Packers, keep branding rights in Brazil for the team’s international markets system. The South American region even appears to be the biggest player in the gold rush of sports betting.
