TGL has a comeback date—again.
The tech-focused golf club backed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports was delayed after construction injury in November, so TGL announced it would start on January 7, 2025, with channels on ESPN and ESPN+.
Six PGA Tour teams will compete in a new file at a brand-new Palm Beach Gardens, Florida facility known as the SoFi Center. It will have a 3, 000-square-foot model camera and a 22, 475-square-foot, customisable short game place for life play at the end of each tunnel. Additionally, TGL regulations include a photo time and the league intends for players to become mic’d up while in action. Around the playing place, there is a seating arrangement for 1,500.

Given that January is typically a quiet day on the golf timeline, TMRW Sports CEO Mike McCarley emphasized the benefits of the new events and noted that the new events may be promoted during ESPN’s policy of well-known NFL and college football playoff games in a statement.
TGL even recently disclosed plans for the steel-supported structure it is building after a storm in November severed the league’s custom inflated roof, which was still under construction.
After TGL changed its launch date back to 2025, Woods said,” I think we can take advantage of the time delay.” ” I believe that we can do it right, and I believe that everyone involved feels that this is going to be the best item for it,” he said.
Prior to that point, TGL had announced six, area- tied teams for its annual time: Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Jupiter Links Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club, TGL New York and TGL San Francisco, each with big hitters on the cover table.
In addition to Woods and McIlroy, committed players include Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark.
