During the upcoming Summer Olympics, those who enjoy watching NFL RedZone during the soccer season will find something that is quite akin to NBC Universal.
During the Paris Games, NBCU announced that Gold Zone, a whip-around Olympics show, may be supply lived on Peacock. The display will be hosted by RedZone soldiers Scott Hanson and Andrew Siciliano, along with two members of the NBC community, Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila. Airing regular from 7 a. m. to 5 p. m. ET, Gold Zone aims to offer similar “must- see” times during the Olympics that NFL enthusiasts look for on RedZone.
” The Olympic Games are like no other recreational occasion, with up to 40 events happening simultaneously”, Molly Solomon, the executive producer and chairman of NBC’s Olympics manufacturing unit, said in a press release. ” Given that range, Gold Zone is designed to be the user’s best buddy, streaming the most important events in real time”.
Since its launch for cable members in 2009, Hanson has been the face of the NFL’s favorite whip-around network, NFL Red Zone, helping viewers keep up with scoring drives every Sunday across the group. This will be his primary Olympiad, and he will manage Gold Zone’s first flood of events. He’ll get followed by Siciliano, who has hosted Gold Zone for the 2016 Sochi Winter Games and the 2018 Summer Games in Rio. From 2005 until 2022, Silliciano served as the number of DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel until the NFL switched its Sunday Ticket offer to YouTube TV.
The show may shut every night with Gbajabiamila and Iseman, the inc- hosts of NBC’s summer reality/sports entertainment show National Ninja Warrior, the two return for their second and third Olympics, both. In addition to working on the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, Iseman and his husband led NBC’s Tokyo Live during the COVID-delayed Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Gbajabiamila, a former NFL defensive end/linebacker, has been a co- host on CBS ‘ The Talk since 2021.
Gold Zone has been a hit on NBCUniversal for a number of Olympiads, but this will be the first time the program will air live on Peacock as part of a reimagining of its on-site coverage. The streamer has been bolstered by other sports, including the NFL, Premier League, Major League Baseball and WWE. For its exclusive telecast of the Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs wild card game in January, Peacock attracted nearly 28 million viewers.
